In 2006 there were 72,000 households in Bay County, Florida. The average household size was 2.2 people.

Families made up 66 percent of the households in Bay County. This figure includes both married-couple families (48 percent) and other families (18 percent). Non-family households made up 34 percent of all households in Bay County. Most of the non-family households were people living alone, but some were composed of people living in households in which no one was related to the householder.

In 2006, 77 percent of the people at least one year old living in Bay County were living in the same residence one year earlier; 14 percent had moved during the past year from another residence in the same county, 3 percent from another county in the same state, 5 percent from another state, and 1 percent from abroad.

EDUCATION: In 2006, 85 percent of people 25 years and over had at least graduated from high school and 20 percent had a bachelor's degree or higher. Fifteen percent were dropouts; they were not enrolled in school and had not graduated from high school.

Forecasters at Fiserv Lending Solutions and Moody's Economy.com predict a radical shift in the top 10 list of fastest growers for the 12 months beginning in June; only one California city, El Centro, will be represented. Instead, Washington State will dominate, with five of the top 10 cities.

Wenatchee, Washington, which lies about 150 miles southeast of Seattle, is predicted to gain the most of any city in the state, 16 percent.

That won't be enough to beat Panama City, Florida, where prices are expected to rise 21 percent.
